I’m a freelance writer with 12 years of experience copy writing, editing, and writing feature stories for magazines and websites.

I’m the associate editor of Eater Seattle, contributing features and news articles to the site daily. I’m also the editor of Edible Seattle, where I write and edit stories about chefs, farmers, fishers, and artisans. I recently won an award from the Society of American Travel Writers for my story on Copper River salmon in Edible Seattle’s May/June 2018 issue.

My article assignments and writing projects have taken me white water rafting on the Snake River in Idaho and Oregon; off-roading in Moab, Utah; exploring Macau, China; casting for Dungeness crab on the mouth of the Columbia River; and foraging edible seaweed by kayak in the Salish Sea. I’m headed next to backpack the Superstition Wilderness in Arizona, circumnavigate “Mount Doom” in New Zealand, and hike the famed Gold Rush-era Chilkoot Trail in Alaska and British Columbia.
