I’m a freelance writer with 12 years of experience copy writing, editing, and writing feature stories for magazines and websites.
I’m the associate editor of Eater Seattle, contributing features and news articles to the site daily. I also contribute, on a freelance basis, to publications like Sierra, Global Traveler, Hemispheres, and The Saturday Evening Post. I recently won an award from the Society of American Travel Writers for my story on Copper River salmon in Edible Seattle’s May/June 2018 issue.
My article assignments and writing projects have taken me whitewater rafting on the Snake River in Idaho and Oregon; off-roading in Moab, Utah; exploring Macau, China; casting for Dungeness crab on the mouth of the Columbia River; and foraging edible seaweed by kayak in the Salish Sea. Most recently, I’ve written about hiking in to the crater of Mount St. Helens and backpacking Arizona’s Superstition Mountains.
