Welcome to my site!
I’m a freelance writer and photographer with 11 years experience copy writing, editing, writing feature stories for magazines and websites, and grant writing for nonprofits. Some of my recent projects include a Seattle Daytrips app for iPhone, iPad, and Android; a story on the rise of sour beer on Seattle’s craft beer scene for Seattle Met; a piece on agritourism on Vashon Island, WA; and a feature story on the Northern Lights for Seattle magazine. I also work as a grant writer, helping nonprofits across the U.S. secure funding to provide critical services to those in need. I thrive when I have a range of challenging projects, and, yes, I actually like grant writing!
One of my latest ventures is working as a property certifier for Paradise Hunter, which offers vacation rentals and real estate opportunities around the world. I’ve recently signed on with Seattle Weekly’s Voracious blog, where I’m writing about local food. I’ve written about Epic Ales’ oyster beers and the quickly growing hard cider industry in the Northwest. I’m also writing articles for the website Puget Sound Starts Here; my latest is called Fishing the Sound.
