About

freelance writerWelcome to my site!

I’m a freelance writer with 11 years experience copy writing, editing, writing feature stories for magazines and websites, and grant writing for nonprofits. I currently split my time between Seattle and New Orleans.

I’m the Associate Editor of Eater Seattle, contributing features and news pieces to the site daily. And I write for numerous other publications and websites: Some of my recent articles include writing about the rapidly growing hard cider industry in the Northwest and the rebirth of the Pioneer Square neighborhood in Seattle, both for Seattle Weekly. Other recent articles include Day Trip to Vashon Island (for Viator’s Travel Blog), Pearls on the Plate (for Travel Tacoma), and Eating Local in Edison (for Northwest Travel Magazine). I’ve written for Edible Seattle, Louisiana Life, Forbes Travel Guide, and many more.

I’ve also released an app, called Seattle Day Trips, for  iPhone, iPad, and Android. I’m currently working on one called Seattle on the Cheap.
